Written in support of a woman the singer knew from Phoenix, AZ, who was facing internal struggles and frequently traveled by plane, it reflects her rising from pain like a phoenix from the ashes. As their paths diverge, the song becomes about letting go, while care remains.

Tidal Wave is a heartfelt acoustic rock song about supporting someone going through a tough time. The singer is reaching out to that person to remind them they are not alone, even when life feels like it's too much. Life may come down like a tidal wave, but we'll make it through alright.

"I Don't Want to be Here Again" is an acoustic, heart-stinging song about a breakup from a relationship that results in the loss of oneself to addiction and nostalgia. The refrain strikes back at this affliction, crying out against it and seeking to break away, with the bridge showing the singer crying for help as they swim against the waves to get through it.

"Will it be the Last Time?" is a heartfelt, honest acoustic punk rock/blues rock song about a toxic friendship with someone who kept getting into bad situations that I felt for and, at one point, opened my heart to, only to have my heart ripped out of my chest and repeatedly put on the back burner (metaphorically). It may have been the last time I opened my heart to her, but it was the first time I opened my heart to the world around me. I designed the art for it with an eye for graffiti art from Green Day and similar bands, putting my own spin on it.
